A fluid, gesture-driven composition where line, color, and form move freely between structure and release.

In this piece, I’m exploring movement in a more fluid, continuous way allowing form to emerge through gesture rather than force. The composition unfolds across the surface as a series of interconnected motions, where each line and shape responds to the last.

I work with both control and release here. The drawn lines move quickly and intuitively, while the painted forms are built up and adjusted, creating tension between structure and spontaneity. There’s a push and pull between the linear elements and the heavier, more physical passages of paint.

The color palette shifts the energy of the work. The soft pink ground holds the composition in place, while more saturated blues, yellows, and neutrals move across it, creating rhythm and contrast. The brighter tones act almost like signals within the piece—moments that guide the eye and activate the surface.

This work feels less about containment and more about flow. I’m interested in how forms can stretch, connect, and evolve without becoming fixed. There are suggestions of structure, but nothing is fully resolved—everything remains in motion.

For me, this piece is about allowing the painting to breathe giving space for instinct, line, and material to coexist without forcing a final outcome. It exists somewhere between drawing and painting, control and release, structure and freedom.
